We recently visited one of our favorite cities, Charleston, South Carolina, for its annual Wine and Food Festival, where wine and food lovers, artisan’s and chefs come to celebrate the 5-day celebration of food, culture and rich history. Charleston has become famous for its vibrant food scene, with award winning chefs serving up dishes that celebrate southern heritage. They use local ingredients to reinvent southern cuisine, but remain true to the bountiful riches of the Lowcountry.
What better way to delve into this glorious ‘Holy City’ and all that it has to offer, than with a festival that celebrates all things we love at the Artisan’s Palate?! Some of our favorite chefs, both in Charleston and throughout the culinary world, were in attendance. We were particularly excited to see how Michael Solomonov from one of our favorite restaurants in Philadelphia, Zahav, would work with the Lowcountry ingredients. He definitely didn’t disappoint!
Below you’ll see just a few of the AMAZING meals we experienced over the course of this festival …
